Description

You will develop algorithms for safe, comfortable, and intuitive route and motion planning for autonomous vehicles, integrating perception and prediction upstream and trajectory control downstream. This role involves research, coding, and code reviews to build a scalable motion planning codebase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters or PhD preferred in Robotics, CS, CE, ME, or related field.
  • 2+ years of research experience in robotics/motion planning.
  • 2+ years of C++ software development.
  • Proven impact in autonomous vehicle field.
  • Experience taking projects from formulation through deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop motion planning algorithms including search-based, sampling-based, optimization-based, and decision making under uncertainty.
  • Integrate and evaluate combinations of motion planning and prediction algorithms.
  • Design and build robust, scalable codebase for rapid exploration and evaluation of motion planning approaches.
  • Interface with perception/prediction upstream and trajectory optimization/tracking control downstream.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentoring sessions.
