Description

You will design custom electronic hardware for ocean energy nodes, taking system-level concepts to fully-functional circuit cards, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring reliability through rigorous testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering
• 8+ years relevant working experience
• Extensive design experience in energy storage, DC-DC converters, digital/mixed-signal electronics
• Working knowledge of filtering, EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, thermal management
• Background in both analog and digital design

Responsibilities

• Design high-reliability electronics including multi-kW load engagement, battery management, supercapacitor banks, and power electronics
• Perform schematic and PCB design, component selection, prototyping, and unit testing
• Test and verify hardware in lab, build integrated systems, transfer test requirements for manufacturing
• Create unit and integration test processes, exercise prototypes to understand failure modes
• Collaborate across engineering teams and prepare safety documentation
