You'll create detailed mechanical designs for low-voltage switchgear assemblies built to UL 891, working with engineering and manufacturing teams from concept through production. Your designs will impact product reliability and safety while supporting compliance with industry standards.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Create detailed mechanical layouts for low-voltage switchgear assemblies
• Develop structural components, enclosure configurations, and breaker arrangements
• Generate manufacturing documentation including assembly drawings and BOMs
• Collaborate with electrical engineering to align mechanical and electrical designs

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in low-voltage switchgear or power distribution design
• Direct experience designing UL 891 switchgear assemblies
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and weldments
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and revision control practices
• Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier or manufacturing coordination
