Description

As a Critical Power Field Technician, you will perform preventive, corrective, and restorative maintenance on critical power systems including UPS, DC systems, and batteries for customers in the Richmond, VA area. You'll troubleshoot on-site, install equipment, and mentor crew members while building strong customer relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in third-party critical power field service or 5 years in OEM service
• Good understanding of AC/DC electrical principles
• Knowledge of test equipment such as multi-meters and battery test equipment
• Ability to read electronic schematics and troubleshoot to component level
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to lift up to 100 lbs

Responsibilities

• Install electrical equipment such as UPS, batteries, and monitoring equipment
• Maintain battery cabinets, racks, DC systems, and other electrical equipment
• Perform remedial services including failure analysis, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Provide excellent customer service and upsell products
• Teach and mentor crew members on site work and troubleshooting techniques
