Description

You will develop guidance and control laws for autonomous drones, conduct aerodynamic design analysis, and perform flight simulations and testing to enhance performance and reliability of aerial systems for defense applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years professional experience with airborne platforms
• Proven experience in aerodynamic design, analysis, flight simulation, and testing
• Extensive hands-on experience with CFD tools, MATLAB/Simulink, and programming (MATLAB, C++)
• US person status required for access to export-controlled information

Responsibilities

• Aerodynamic design analysis of fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and hybrid VTOL platforms using CFD and low-order methods
• Develop and maintain in-house aerodynamic analysis tools and evaluate configuration impact on performance
• Design, implement, and maintain high-fidelity flight simulation models and validate against test results
• Plan and execute wind tunnel and flight tests, analyze data to identify performance trends and system bugs
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for stakeholders
