💼 About This Role

You'll lead deep learning model development for the Driver Understanding and Evaluation team at Waymo. Your work will enhance human-led triaging and automate high-volume workflows for autonomous vehicle evaluation. You'll also drive technical direction and collaborate across teams to improve Waymo Driver performance.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead development of deep learning models for autonomous vehicle evaluation
• Develop reinforcement learning from human preference-based data collection
• Enhance user feedback analysis with multi-label classification and sentiment assessment
• Oversee production and optimization of ML models for vehicle fleet assessment

📋 Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Robotics, or Machine Learning (or equivalent)
• Strong coding experience in C++ and/or Python
• Experience in Foundational Models or VLM or Deep Learning
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning projects

✨ Nice to Have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science with machine learning specialization
• Deep learning experience with Transformers
• Experience with MLOps and large-scale data processing
