💼 About This Role

You'll design and own backend services and integrations that power internal workflows for Customer Care and Onboarding teams at Toast. You'll partner with product and operations to translate complex business needs into reliable systems at scale. This role offers the chance to help shape the technical foundation for the next decade.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and own backend services and APIs
• Build and maintain integrations with CRM and workflow tools
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews
• Monitor feature rollouts and respond to incidents

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years delivering production backend systems at scale
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or another object-oriented language
• Strong understanding of query languages and data modeling
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures

✨ Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience building with LLMs in production
• Familiarity with Workato or similar iPaaS platform
• Prior work with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
