💼 About This Role

You'll lead R&D of ruggedized computing architectures for autonomous surface vessels, designing embedded systems and network infrastructure for harsh marine environments. Your work will directly impact fleet deployment and mission-critical operations. You'll collaborate across engineering teams to ensure high-availability network solutions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and integrate embedded computing systems for autonomous vessels.
• Conduct trade studies on ruggedized COTS and custom computing solutions.
• Develop high-availability network architectures for autonomy and control subsystems.
• Validate environmental and EMC/EMI compliance for hardware.

📋 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related.
• 7+ years in electrical/systems engineering for ruggedized computing or mission-critical environments.
• Expertise in embedded computing platforms, network design, and hardware integration.
• Experience with Ethernet, CAN, serial, and fiber-optic protocols in distributed systems.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with maritime or defense ruggedized systems.
• Familiarity with IEEE 1588/PTP, VLAN management, or deterministic networking.
• Background in autonomous or remote vehicle platforms.
