Description

You will own and improve the frontend infrastructure that powers Stripe's UI engineers, including package management, build tooling, TypeScript setup, and CI pipelines. Your work will directly enhance developer productivity and code quality across a large-scale codebase.

Requirements

• 2+ years software development experience with strong JavaScript/TypeScript foundation
• Experience with modern frontend ecosystem and complex web applications
• Deep systems thinking; considers edge cases and failure modes
• Motivated by improving engineer experience and productivity
• Comfortable working autonomously on ambiguous problems

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Stripe's frontend package manager, build toolchain, bundler setup, and TypeScript infrastructure
• Lay the groundwork for AI-native frontend development
• Drive consistency and best practices across JS codebases through tooling
• Own SLOs for build performance, install speed, and developer tooling reliability
• Partner with frontend teams to improve the edit/build/test loop
