Description

You will use your deep knowledge of Afrikaans grammar, syntax, and pragmatics to challenge and improve large language models. Your work involves conversing with AI models on language scenarios, verifying factual and logical accuracy, documenting errors, and suggesting improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. This is a remote contract role that directly shapes the next generation of AI for Afrikaans speakers.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Afrikaans language, linguistics, or related field
• Deep expertise in Afrikaans grammar, syntax, morphology, spelling, phonology, and pragmatics
• Experience with peer-reviewed publications, teaching, or linguistic analysis projects
• Clear metacognitive communication skills
• Own secure computer and high-speed internet

Responsibilities

• Converse with language models on complex language scenarios
