💼 About This Role

You'll own end-to-end compliance delivery at a sustainability-focused fintech accelerating the energy transition. You'll embed compliance-by-design across Product, Tech, and Operations, providing regulatory advice on consumer credit and financial services obligations. This role offers the chance to leverage AI tools to modernize compliance functions in a mission-driven company.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Manage compliance plan, issues, breaches, and audit-ready artefacts.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation on NCCPA, AFSL, ACL, and conduct risk.
  • Embed compliance-by-design with Product, Tech, and Operations teams.
  • Design and deliver risk-based compliance training using AI.
  • Oversee conflicts of interest, whistleblower, and anti-bribery frameworks.

📋 Requirements

  • 4+ years compliance experience in regulated financial services or fintech.
  • Strong knowledge of NCCPA, Corporations Act, ASIC ACL, AML/CTF.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance monitoring, assurance, and documentation.
  • Proven use of AI tools to automate compliance functions.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with GRC software and regtech tools.
  • Professional certifications in compliance (ICA, CCRP, CAMS).
  • Experience with conduct risk and DDO obligations.

🎁 Benefits & Perks

  • 🏠 Hybrid work model with Monday-Thursday in office, Friday remote.
  • 🍲 Free Monday lunch and weekly Thursday social events.
  • 📈 Employee Share Option Plans (ESOP).
  • 🍿 Stocked pantry with snacks, wine, and beer on tap.
  • 🚴 End-of-trip facilities with shower and towel service.

🚩 Heads Up

  • Role expects ownership of compliance training using AI but AI proficiency is also listed as a requirement, potentially setting a high bar.
  • Combines multiple compliance domains (conduct risk, anti-bribery, whistleblower) under one role, which may indicate understaffing.
  • Requires working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, which may suggest limited support.
