💼 About This Role

You'll build the global tax function from scratch at a unicorn edtech company scaling toward IPO. You'll lead tax compliance, strategy, and IPO readiness across 180 countries, shaping the future of education at global scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and scale the global tax function from early-stage foundations.
• Manage worldwide direct and indirect tax compliance, including ASC 740.
• Support strategic tax planning and IPO preparation initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on public company readiness and disclosures.
• Drive executive communication on tax status, risks, and roadmap progress.

📋 Requirements

• 12–15+ years of progressive international tax experience.
• Experience building or scaling a global tax function in a pre-IPO company.
• Strong technical expertise in U.S. and international corporate tax, ASC 740, transfer pricing.
• Experience supporting IPO readiness and SOX implementation.

✨ Nice to Have

• CPA, MST or JD/LLM in Tax.
• Experience in SaaS or marketplace businesses.
