You'll own the system-level architecture for Smarsh's Conduct platform, a strategic growth engine in the regulated communications space. Your decisions will directly impact scalability, security, and multi-year evolution. This role demands enterprise-level systems thinking and the ability to balance near-term delivery with long-term platform integrity.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and enforce coherent architectural strategy aligned with product vision
• Partner with Product Management to translate market needs into architectural requirements
• Architect petabyte-scale, secure-by-design systems for regulated environments
• Enable AI use cases through governed integration patterns and responsible AI principles

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive software engineering and architecture experience
• Proven ownership of enterprise platform architecture for business-critical multi-service platforms
• Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with cloud-native systems on AWS and regulated environments (financial services, fintech)

✨ Nice to Have

• Practical experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based services into distributed systems
• Background in compliance-sensitive environments where auditability influences system design
