Description

You will source, evaluate, and curate Dutch and Belgian art from the Golden Age to modernism, handling high volumes of submissions. You'll write expert descriptions, set estimates, lead appraisals, and partner with sales to grow the category through seller relationships and market events.

Requirements

• Strong track record in Dutch Belgian Classical Modern Art with appraisal and pricing experience
• Proven experience in gallery management, auction houses or art dealing
• Commercial mindset to spot opportunities and build long-term seller relationships
• Willingness to travel across the Netherlands, Belgium and international hubs
• Ability to represent Catawiki at art fairs and industry events

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and curate Dutch Belgian Classical Modern Art lots across value ranges
• Write expert lot descriptions, set public estimates and recommend reserves
• Lead valuation, condition and authenticity assessments
• Partner with Account Managers to design single-seller auctions and seller growth plans
• Build and maintain relationships with galleries, dealers, collectors, museums, artist estates
