Description

You will conduct electro-optic testing and characterization of silicon photonics components, including micro-rings and Mach-Zehnder interferometers, using optical and semiconductor test equipment. You'll develop automated testing systems with Python scripting to translate data into actionable strategies.

Requirements

• Recent PhD graduate or PhD candidate in Photonics
• Strong understanding of Silicon Photonics and electro-optic component testing
• Experience with automated testing systems using Python scripting
• Highly analytical and process-oriented, ability to solve complex technical problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in electro-optic testing of photonics chips/devices
• Conduct tests and characterization of silicon photonics components (micro-rings, optical phase shifters, Mach-Zehnder interferometers)
• Operate optical equipment (lasers, modulators, SOA, PIN receivers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
• Use semiconductor test equipment (vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, source-meter units, etc.)
• Develop and implement automated testing through Python scripting
