💼 About This Role

You'll design and build full-stack solutions for NerdWallet's insurance vertical, optimizing user flows and backend integrations. This role impacts millions of users by driving insurance product experiences and SEO performance. You'll own the full tech stack with minimal dependencies while mentoring team members.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement secure, scalable back-end integrations with partner platforms.
• Optimize insurance flows through organic/paid marketing funnels and A/B testing.
• Build across full stack from front-end experiences to data workflows.
• Instrument systems in Datadog observability platform.

📋 Requirements

• Minimum 6 years in software engineering.
• Expert in React, TypeScript, and Node.
• Relational database experience (SQL).
• 2+ years working on a public-facing website.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Next.js.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
