💼 About This Role

You'll lead legal workflow and business operations for a defense tech company building an AI platform for aviation. You'll own contracts, government contracting support, IP hygiene, and people-related agreements, freeing founders from routine legal thrash. This role combines legal contract management with operational system-building in a fast-moving startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Run intake, drafting, review, and filing for contracts like NDAs and MSAs.
• Coordinate reviews of government agreements with outside counsel.
• Maintain invention assignment and contractor IP paperwork.
• Own offer letter workflows and separation paperwork.
• Build systems like trackers, playbooks, and checklists for operations.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years supporting legal work in-house or at a firm (Option A) or a Juris Doctor with commercial contract experience (Option B).
• Excellent organization and ability to run a process end-to-end.
• Comfort reading agreements, spotting issues, and escalating appropriately.
• Strong operational instinct to build systems, not just redlines.
