💼 About This Role

You'll ensure the consistent quality and reliability of components from suppliers for Vast's next-generation space stations. You will evaluate and onboard new suppliers, lead root cause analysis for quality escapes, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. This role is key to supporting the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations at our Long Beach location.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, conducting audits and assessments.
• Establish strong supplier relationships and address quality issues.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers on part design intent.
• Lead root cause and corrective action for quality escapes in supply chain.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products in production.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions in a manufacturing environment.

• Master's degree in engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with manufacturing, process, reliability, or design engineering.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9000 / AS9100 / NADCAP).
