Description

You will design and evolve the internal developer platform that underpins backend development at Abnormal. This involves owning high-leverage projects across CLI tooling, CI/CD, shared Go and Python libraries, and test infrastructure. Your work will make it fast, reliable, and intuitive for hundreds of engineers and AI agents to build and ship products.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python 3.x (CLI, type hints, testing).
• Solid experience with Go (gRPC/HTTP, CLI, testing).
• Experience with Protobuf/gRPC and Bazel in a large monorepo.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Experience with modern CI/CD systems and linting/static analysis tools.
• Monorepo experience and developer experience tooling strongly preferred.
• Exposure to canary analysis, progressive delivery, or test infrastructure preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in LLM/AI integration for developer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve developer CLI tooling to scaffold services and manage environments.
• Own core CI/CD and linting infrastructure for backend services.
• Steward shared Go and Python libraries and frameworks.
• Strengthen test and release safety with canary analysis and test automation.
• Design platform-level abstractions for product engineers and AI agents.
