💼 About This Role

You'll join a newly formed team building systems that ingest, process, and serve massive event data powering Movable Ink's platform. You'll shape the architecture of a critical data domain using modern streaming technologies, Elixir, and Python at billions-event scale. This ground-floor opportunity lets you define how event data flows, making it faster and more reliable.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and maintain event streaming pipelines from client systems and third-party sources
• Develop analytical databases and data models for high-volume event data
• Write production Elixir and Python services for event processing and routing
• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability for event data systems

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or backend/systems engineering with event-driven systems
• Proficiency in Elixir and/or Python as primary language for building data services
• Advanced SQL skills for data modeling and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with columnar/OLAP databases at production scale

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with stream processing frameworks like Apache Flink, Kafka, Pulsar, or Kinesis
• Experience with Databricks and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with retail events data like clickstream, purchase events, or product interaction data
