Description

You will design and build systems to track resource utilization, forecast consumption, and support capacity planning for Temporal Cloud, improving infrastructure efficiency and platform cost effectiveness. You'll contribute to autoscaling, workload isolation, and performance in a multi-tenant cloud environment, partnering with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Experience building distributed systems in production cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong understanding of infrastructure systems: compute, storage, networking
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Ability to reason about system performance, scalability, and reliability tradeoffs
• Solid coding skills in Go, Java, or similar; 4-7+ years building production software

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems to track resource utilization and forecast consumption at scale
• Build and evolve a resource manager to improve infrastructure efficiency based on usage patterns
• Contribute to autoscaling, workload isolation, and performance improvements in multi-tenant cloud
• Partner with Cloud Infrastructure, Product, and other teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Debug production issues and improve system reliability and operational excellence
