Description

As a Principal Kubernetes Architect at InterSystems, you will serve as a senior technical authority for designing, evolving, and operating Kubernetes-based cloud platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You'll define reference architectures, solve complex platform challenges, and mentor engineers while ensuring secure, resilient, and highly automated Kubernetes environments powering mission-critical managed services and SaaS offerings.

Requirements

• 10-15+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or SRE roles with deep Kubernetes specialization
• Proven experience architecting and operating large-scale Kubernetes platforms in production for mission-critical workloads
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP including networking, identity, and storage services
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals, scheduling, networking, security, and storage
• Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, GitOps, and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority for Kubernetes architecture across managed services and SaaS platforms
• Define and maintain reference architectures and design patterns for Kubernetes across on-prem, private cloud, and public cloud
• Design, build, and evolve Kubernetes clusters using EKS, AKS, GKE, Rancher, or equivalent distributions
• Architect observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluentd/Fluent Bit
• Lead architectural reviews and mentor senior engineers across platform, DevOps, and SRE teams
