Description

You will develop and execute congestion management strategies across ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM markets, focusing on CRR/FTR trading to hedge and optimize portfolio congestion risk. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align trading strategies with commercial goals and provide market insights for strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field
• 6-10 years of power market experience, with at least 2+ years directly in CRR, FTR, nodal, or virtual trading
• Experience using ERCOT a
• Strong analytical, modeling, and risk management skills
• Proficiency in programming tools (Python, R, SQL, Power BI) and power flow/cost modeling software (e.g., Dayzer, PROMOD)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CRR/FTR/congestion trading strategies to hedge and optimize portfolio congestion risk across ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM
• Analyze historical and forecasted congestion patterns to identify trading opportunities in monthly and annual auctions
• Support Real-Time and Day-Ahead teams with congestion insights and locational pricing forecasts
• Maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track CRR positions, portfolio exposure, and P&L attribution
• Collaborate with Market Fundamentals, Asset Management, and Origination to align CRR strategies with commercial hedging
