Description

In this role, you will manage all operational activities of the campus environment, including facilities, security, and administrative support. You will ensure efficient functioning, act as a central point for resolving issues, and implement improvements to enhance the campus experience for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Operations and Logistics, Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Managing facilities and service providers, including vendor sourcing and contract revision.
  • Preserving ALU's assets through monitoring cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment use.
  • Ensuring student security through risk assessment, security patrol management, and protocols.
  • Acting as point person for all departments, ensuring operations teams support on-campus events.
  • Overseeing health and safety through monitoring, risk simulations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance of campus infrastructure (e.g., fire safety).
  • Engaging with external authorities and stakeholders for campus needs.
  • Liaising between service providers and students to resolve challenges.
  • Coordinating building inspections and maintenance interventions.
  • Managing external stakeholders including landlord and local authorities.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising interns and operations staff.
  • Designing and managing ALU projects.
  • Creating and documenting systems, processes, policies, and SOPs.
  • Running crisis simulations and emergency procedures (e.g., fire drills).
  • Formulating strategic and operational objectives for the operations department.
  • Monitoring department performance and reporting to Campus Director.
  • Managing campus operations budget and procurement.
  • Tracking, managing, and reporting performance using data-driven methods.
  • Overseeing selection, training, and succession of external partners.
  • Managing service provider contracts, including KPIs and SLAs.
  • Line managing operations staff and leading annual planning.
