Description

You will lead the financial operations and strategy at a fintech startup backed by Sequoia Capital, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational finance while partnering with the CEO. This role involves building scalable processes and systems to support rapid growth in the payments space.

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent international certification preferred
• 10+ years progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally in fintech or high-growth scale-up
• Deep experience with reconciliations, audits, and financial controls
• Experience with SOC 2 audits and multi-entity reporting
• Experience building or scaling a finance team in a startup environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Manage financial controls, audit readiness, and SOC 2 audits
• Lead FP&A including forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and headcount planning
• Provide strategic finance advisory to the CEO on capital allocation and long-term strategy
• Build and scale finance processes, systems, and reporting frameworks
