Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Applied AI team, you will design and build end-to-end GenAI-powered applications that improve internal operations at Okta. You'll work with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and modern frontend frameworks to deliver secure, intelligent tools for employees across the company.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering skills with AI integration experience
• Experience with LLMs and frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React or Vue)
• Experience building RAG pipelines and vector search (Pinecone, FAISS, Qdrant)
• Focus on security, privacy, observability, and testing across the full stack

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end GenAI-powered applications including web UIs, API services, and backend orchestration
• Implement and integrate LLM-based experiences using LangChain, LlamaIndex, and models like OpenAI, Claude, Gemini
• Develop responsive, accessible frontend interfaces using React or Vue
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines with vector search and embedding strategies
• Define operational excellence standards (SLOs, observability, incident response) for deployed services
