Description
You will create process plans and procedures, perform hands-on assembly and inspection of avionics hardware, and build flight and development hardware from the ground up. You'll interpret engineering drawings and drive box builds on the production floor, collaborating with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure quality and flight-readiness.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in avionics manufacturing or similar field
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
- Hands-on experience with PCBA assembly, rework, and inspection
- Ability to work 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM PT, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime
- Strong collaboration skills to work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams
Responsibilities
- Create process plans and standard operating procedures for avionics manufacturing
- Hands-on assembly, rework, and inspection of PCBAs and electromechanical hardware
- Integrate PCBAs, connectors, cabling, thermal interfaces, fasteners, and enclosures into complete units
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly models
- Drive avionics box builds ensuring quality, configuration control, and documentation of as-built configurations
