💼 About This Role

You'll own the tools that power Starship software development, designing and scaling the systems enabling hundreds of engineers to integrate changes continuously. You'll identify the biggest problems and drive solutions end-to-end. This is a high-autonomy role where you'll be a force multiplier for making life multiplanetary.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Invent tools and processes for fast and correct software development
• Integrate and troubleshoot across the entire Starship software stack
• Design and maintain a dedicated pool of on-premises compute
• Identify areas for improvement and create innovative solutions

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, or STEM, or 9+ years without degree
• Experience with build systems like Bazel
• Fluency in Python, C++, Rust, or Go

• Experience building tools impacting hundreds of engineers daily
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools
