Senior Consultant - Health Public Affairs

Description

You will track emerging policy and political issues, create messaging and outreach materials, and research and write on policy matters to help clients achieve their advocacy goals. You'll take a leading role on accounts, executing public affairs plans and directly advising clients.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years experience in communications, public affairs, government, or political role
  • Post-secondary degree in political science, public policy, communications, or similar
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications and presentation skills
  • Excellent grasp of provincial political environment and legislative processes
  • Working knowledge of the health sector preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement integrated public affairs plans to change public opinion and prompt government action
  • Provide insight and intelligence to account leads on client issues and opportunities
  • Monitor and report on government activities including political, parliamentary, legislative, and regulatory landscapes
  • Prepare written materials such as stakeholder maps, briefing documents, presentations, and submissions
  • Coordinate client engagement with government representatives and stakeholders
