💼 About This Role

You'll work with a team of all-star engineers on an advanced kick stage vehicle, steering design of pressurized structures and integrated subsystems. You'll take ownership from concept to mission control, making your designs a reality. This role offers the chance to build large-scale space systems at a growing space startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design pressurized weldment structures and integrated subsystems
• Create mechanical designs and vehicle layouts meeting requirements
• Develop detailed component and assembly drawings with GD&T
• Design test plans and generate verification reports

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years industry experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Expert-level knowledge in structures, mechanisms, or pressure systems
• Proficiency in CAD (NX/Solidworks) and FEA (e.g., Ansys, Nastran)
• Strong understanding of GD&T and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5)

✨ Nice to Have

• Ownership of major space vehicle systems through full design cycle
• Experience with structural optimization (HEEDS, Optistruct, etc.)
• Knowledge of weld codes (AWS D17.1, D1.1) and NASGRO
