Description

You will lead the safety engineering team to define and ensure robust technical safety cases for autonomous driving systems, working cross-functionally with engineering, legal, and regulatory teams. Your work directly impacts the safe deployment of autonomous vehicles and advances industry safety standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years relevant industry experience in technology development / safety critical systems
• 3+ years in safety engineering leadership for autonomous/robotics systems
• Deep knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, ISO21448 SOTIF, ASIL, UL 4600)
• Strong background in hazard analysis, system reliability, and safety case development
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Systems Engineering, EE, CS, Robotics, or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Safety Engineering team, fostering technical excellence and safety-first culture
• Define company's safety engineering strategy aligned with industry standards and regulatory frameworks
• Lead safety assessments for AI and computer vision systems, addressing non-deterministic behavior and ML robustness
• Develop tailored technical safety case elements for autonomous driving systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI/ML, perception, controls, and validation teams to integrate safety into system design
