💼 About This Role

You'll be embedded in the data engineering team, building and maintaining systems that power the data platform. You'll help with data pipelines and workflows, gaining hands-on experience with modern data technologies. This internship at Nium offers real coding and contribution to a fintech product used by real people.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Support development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows.
• Ingest and transform data from MySQL and Kafka streams.
• Write and improve SQL queries for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers to turn business needs into technical solutions.

📋 Requirements

• Studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field at University of Malta or MCAST.
• Curiosity about how real-world data systems are built.
• Ability to write code in any language.
• Currently pursuing studies in Malta.

✨ Nice to Have

• Interest in fintech, payments, or data-driven products.
• Foundational SQL knowledge.
• Basic Python skills.
