You'll design and optimize high-performance microservices powering Five9's global cloud contact center platform. You'll tackle complex engineering challenges at scale and mentor other engineers. This role offers deep involvement in core backend services and cloud-native development.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and optimize microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Own services end-to-end from design to operations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and observability improvements

📋 Requirements

• 7-10 years of development experience in Java microservices
• Deep expertise in Java with strong Spring/Spring Boot
• Experience with GCP services (GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, CockroachDB, Redis)
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems
• Familiarity with Looker and large-scale reporting systems
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
