Description

You will design and build flight hardware such as propellant tanks and primary structures for Starship, working hands-on with a world-class production team to enable humanity's multi-planetary future.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience with mechanical design and analysis
• Experience designing, analyzing, building, and testing high-performance mechanical systems
• Proficiency in FEA software (NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS) and structural analysis
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical first principles

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts from clean sheet and size vehicle structures based on flight loads
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance mass, cost, and capability
• Create detailed CAD models in NX for components, assemblies, and vehicle integration
• Build finite element models to analyze and validate designs
• Support hardware assembly in factory and witness designs take flight
