You'll architect and evolve Affirm's lakehouse analytics platform, driving strategy for scalable, high-performance infrastructure. You'll lead data governance and privacy engineering initiatives to ensure secure, compliant data access. This role combines deep technical leadership with mentorship across analytics engineering teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and evolve Affirm's lakehouse analytics platform
• Design and implement RBAC and dynamic data masking in Snowflake
• Lead technical direction for analytics engineering practices
• Drive data governance and privacy engineering initiatives
• Identify and execute cost optimization strategies

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years experience in software or data engineering
• 6+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable warehouses
• Strong experience with Apache Iceberg, Spark, and AWS
• Experience with dbt or equivalent transformation frameworks

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Atlan, MonteCarlo, or data governance tools
• Knowledge of streaming infrastructure and event-driven frameworks
• Background in financial services or fintech
