Description

You will oversee all financial and operational aspects of Betterment's broker-dealer, ensuring compliance with FINRA and SEC rules. You'll manage reconciliations, liquidity monitoring, controls enhancement, and regulatory reporting, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize processes and support growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting
• CPA License
• Series 27 or ability to rapidly obtain
• 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, preferably audit
• Strong experience with financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Complete and oversee daily reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks
• Monitor firm liquidity and net capital, overseeing money movements and securities processing
• Enhance, implement, and execute controls for broker-dealer compliance
• Prepare and file weekly, monthly, and annual regulatory reports (Reserve Calculations, Net Capital Computations, year-end financial packages)
• Act as main counterpoint with auditors for annual broker-dealer reviews
