Description

You'll join the MongoDB Networking Observability team to build and enhance components for distributed database communication and observability. You'll work on improving networking, resource utilization, and low-overhead observability features, collaborating with engineers in NYC and remotely. Your contributions will directly impact the availability, performance, and robustness of MongoDB's open-source database.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building distributed systems
• Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, software design/architecture
• Hands-on experience with production-level code
• Proficiency in C++ required
• Interest in networking, observability, computer architecture and internals

Responsibilities

• Understand and improve the current functionality of the MongoDB networking and observability codebase
• Lead medium sized projects related to networking code or observability frameworks from technical design to delivery
• Collaborate with colleagues at all stages of project lifecycle (ideation, requirements gathering, design, execution, delivery)
• Own our leadership principles and exemplify them in your work
• Continue to learn and be curious in growing your career
