💼 About This Role

You'll lead safety programs for a steelmaking coal mine in British Columbia. Your impact: ensuring every worker goes home safe and healthy. This temporary 18-month role offers a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off in the scenic Elk Valley.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Mentor and develop a team of Safety Coordinators and Emergency Response Coordinator
• Ensure strategic Health and Safety objectives are met in risk control and occupational health
• Monitor investigation practices for compliance with regulations and policies
• Develop and conduct safety training, audits, and inspections

📋 Requirements

• Minimum five years related experience supervising a safety team
• Familiar with high potential risk control strategies and risk management tools
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent

✨ Nice to Have

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
• CRSP designation
• Proficient in Mine Rescue, First Aid and Emergency Response
