💼 About This Role

You'll maintain Android OS stability across Toast's restaurant device fleet and drive next-gen platform bring-up. You'll collaborate with ODM/SOC partners to root-cause complex field issues across kernel, BSP, and framework layers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Investigate complex field issues across the stack using Android bugreports, logcat, and dmesg.
• Develop, port, and adapt Linux kernel drivers and device trees from datasheets.
• Create Android OS APIs (AIDL, JNI, SYSFS) with strict SELinux security policies.
• Maintain AOSP build configurations and optimize Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Android OS and Linux Kernel environment.
• Experience triaging stack-wide issues using Android diagnostic tools (adb, fastboot, bugreports, logcat).
• Proven ability to work with ODMs/SoCs to track defects and drive resolution.
• Experience developing in C/C++ and debugging within the Linux Kernel.

• Experience with Splunk or Memfault for device telemetry correlation.
• Experience with Android framework or system services.
• Experience with board bring-up from scratch.
