💼 About This Role

You'll lead SumUp's UK AML/CTF programme as the MLRO, serving as the primary FCA contact. You'll shape financial crime frameworks that directly impact UK business growth while ensuring regulatory compliance.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own and lead the UK AML/CTF programme
• Act as primary FCA contact on financial crime matters
• Review and decide on Suspicious Activity Reports
• Oversee transaction monitoring and CDD/EDD processes

📋 Requirements

• Prior experience as MLRO or Deputy MLRO in UK financial services
• Deep knowledge of UK AML/CTF regulations and JMLSG guidance
• Strong judgement in high-risk cases and complex CDD/EDD decisions
• Eligible for FCA SMF17 designation

• Experience in fintech, payments, or e-money
• Experience preparing for FCA supervisory engagements
