Description

You will lead a team of tooling engineers developing solutions for rocket production at Relativity Space. Oversee the design, fabrication, and commissioning of complex tooling systems to enable safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing of the Terran R vehicle.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams
• Expertise in tooling design and manufacturing for complex systems
• Strong project management skills with focus on cost and schedule
• Ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams
• Background in aerospace or similar high-stakes industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of tooling engineers
• Define and execute long-term tooling strategy aligning design, manufacturing, and operations priorities
• Oversee design, fabrication, and commissioning of complex tooling systems to improve manufacturability, quality, and throughput
• Manage tooling project portfolio, driving cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Partner with design engineering and manufacturing for tooling readiness in new product introductions and product evolution
