Description

You will support the payroll accounting function during a critical period, handling reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting, while also processing Canadian payroll for two legal entities. This is a remote contract role with a collaborative, detail-oriented team at a leading home services company.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in payroll accounting with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline or similar ERP platforms
• Solid understanding of US federal and state payroll compliance; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
• Meticulous attention to accuracy and ownership of details
• Clear communicator able to handle cross-functional requests professionally

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll-related journal entries in NetSuite
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, resolving variances within 30 days
• Reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
• Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
• Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records
