Description

As a Supplier Development Engineer at SpaceX, you will drive supplier performance and supply chain strategy for Starlink satellite and gateway components, collaborating with internal teams to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met. You'll lead supplier development from concept to production, resolving quality issues and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 2+ years experience in supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, or design engineering
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR)
• Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity for mechanical hardware used in Starlink systems
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand part and assembly design intent
• Support procurement by assessing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems
• Define technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance
• Lead root cause analysis for supplier quality issues and drive corrective actions
