Description

You will oversee commissioning of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to validate system performance and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. This role requires extensive fieldwork and technical expertise in photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, high-voltage systems, SCADA, and associated infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering (electrical or mechanical), or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• OSHA 30, NETA III certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore.
• Strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, high-voltage systems, protection and control, SCADA and associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage commissioning contract exhibits, plans, schedules, and procedures for photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, high-voltage systems, SCADA, and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless transition from construction to operational status.
• Manage on-site Commissioning Managers and vendors to lead on-site testing and verification of electrical, mechanical, and communications systems.
• Coordinate, produce, and communicate accurate test energy schedules to the utility.
• Review and validate installation quality and system performance against design specifications and industry standards.
