💼 About This Role

You'll design the world's first continuous fusion fuel cycle at Helion, a leading fusion power company. You'll own process design and implementation for major systems, taking them from concept to commissioning. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to scale up and integrate these systems into our commercial fusion platform.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own inception-to-integration engineering for fuel cycle design units
• Perform detailed design for process equipment under varied conditions
• Use process simulation tools to support design development and integration
• Produce key deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs, HAZOPs, and sizing calculations

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Nuclear Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience delivering full-scope chemical engineering projects
• Experience taking engineering ideas from abstract concepts to physical reality
• Proven ability to apply first-principles thinking and methodical problem-solving

• Experience with cryogenic or vacuum systems
• Familiarity with fusion or nuclear technologies
• Experience in startup or fast-paced R&D environments
