You'll lead microservices architecture for Compass's transaction platform, enabling agents to manage home buying/selling processes. You'll own distributed systems that scale across the real estate industry while mentoring fellow engineers. This role offers high visibility and challenging projects in a collaborative culture.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Provide strategic direction and ownership to Compass software architecture
• Build, develop, and scale the platform for real estate professionals
• Lead architecting of distributed microservices architecture
• Operate in scalable engineering culture with automated CI/CD/testing/monitoring

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years developing high-performance software applications
• 10+ years programming in Java or Go
• Experience with gRPC, Thrift, or other server-to-server protocols
• 5+ years using AWS or cloud technologies

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
• High proficiency designing and implementing microservices
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
