Description

As a Toolmaker on the 2nd shift at SpaceX, you will interpret blueprints, apply creative machining solutions, and fabricate support equipment to solve unpredictable field problems. You'll maintain high safety and quality standards while supporting assembly and launch operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5+ years professional experience in metrology or machining
• Ability to work 2nd shift (11am-7:30pm) plus overtime/weekends
• Willing to travel extensively to launch sites in FL, CA, TX
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and apply welding blueprint knowledge
• Perform spur-of-the-moment design and machining for field problems
• Fabricate support equipment and perform weld repair/buildup
• Rig large components using overhead cranes and other lifting devices
• Maintain an orderly environment and optimal equipment condition
