💼 About This Role

You'll join the Environment team at an operating steelmaking coal mine in the Elk Valley of BC. Your core impact is ensuring compliance with air and waste permits under the Environmental Management Act while coordinating monitoring programs and reporting. This role offers a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off in a breathtaking outdoor recreation area.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Coordinate environmental management and monitoring programs including field work.
• Analyze data to track compliance and prepare regulatory reports and applications.
• Foster relationships with Communities of Interest and support spill reporting.
• Supervise contractors and develop budgets to drive continual improvement.

📋 Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years demonstrated ability in environmental compliance or monitoring in industry.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and practices.
• Experience with environmental data management and database software (GIS/EQuIS).
