As a Senior Ubuntu Embedded IoT System Engineer at Canonical, you will work with leading OEMs, ODMs, and silicon partners to deliver the best Ubuntu experience on hardware for Robotics, Automotive, SmartNIC, Medical devices, and Industry gateways. You'll optimize Ubuntu on chips from Intel, AMD, Nvidia, and others, and ensure flawless hardware integration with partners like Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

Requirements

• Bachelor or higher in STEM, preferably CS or EE
• Exceptional academic track record
• Professional written and spoken English
• Familiar with C, Python, Bash
• Linux kernel, boot, and system-level architecture skills

Responsibilities

• Provide software and system engineering services for OEM and ODM customers
• Work closely with partners on platform bring up
• Identify, triage, and fix critical problems with project managers and QA engineers
• Conduct root cause analysis and reproduce issues
• Facilitate communication between Ubuntu, firmware, and hardware engineering teams
