Description

As a Lead Engineer on the Cluster to Cluster Synchronization team, you will lead a Dublin-based team building scalable, low-downtime migration services for MongoDB, including Atlas Live Migration and mongosync. You'll grow the team, coach engineers, and collaborate on delivering features that make database migration fast and reliable.

Requirements

• 2+ years managing a team of 3+ engineers with technical leadership
• 5+ years developing in compiled languages (Java, Go, C#, C++, etc.)
• Experience designing, writing, testing, and maintaining databases or distributed systems
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the Cluster to Cluster Migration Services team
• Coach engineers to deliver successfully and grow professionally
• Specify, prioritize, and deliver new features with product and program managers
• Develop deep technical understanding of mongosync, sharding, and replication
• Balance time between leadership, mentorship, planning, and design
